About Me

Aggie has extensive experience in high-value domestic and cross-border transactions involving renewable energy projects, with a focus on providing strategic structuring advice on and transactional documentation for joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and financing.

Aggie holds a Master in Business Law (Energy) (2018) from the Technishe Universitat Berlin in Germany as well as a Juris Doctorate from the University of the Philippines (2013).

Notable Experience

  • Advised on and negotiated a joint development agreement for 237 MWp ground mounted solar photovoltaic projects in Italy and the Netherlands between Greencells Group and Blue Elephant Energy AG

  • Advised on the proposed ASEAN Green SRI Sukuk (~US$45 million) rated AA3/Stable lodged with the Security Commission of Malaysia, a conventional term and Islamic term project financing facilities from MIDF Amanah Investment Bank Berhad (~US$35 million), and Greencells Hungary Kft’s construction short term facility (~EUR 14 million) extended by OTP Bank Nyrt.

  • Supported Greencells in securing its Green Bond listed with the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (~EUR15 million)

  • Advised on numerous acquisitions and development of renewable energy projects accounting for at least 1GW in total capacity in Europe, Africa, and Asia

  • Advised on and negotiated engineering, procurement, and construction and operations and maintenance contracts for ground mounted and rooftop mounted solar photovoltaic plants in the United States of America, Europe, Africa, and Asia

  • Advised a Singapore-listed company in relation to a reverse takeover transaction on matters related to its investments in and acquisition of interests and assets and/or businesses related to the hotel and tourism industry in Myanmar (~US$50 million)

  • Served as legal advisor to the Myanmar Public-Private Partnerships Task Force and prepared a Study on Template Transaction Documents under PPP Contracts for Key Infrastructure in Myanmar

  • Advised on and conducted full legal due diligence for investments in a real estate development company (~US300 million) and an investment corporation (~US$400 million) in the Philippines

  • Assisted as counsel for the Republic of the Philippines through the Department of Public Works and Highways and Public Private Partnership Center for the Laguna Lakeshore Expressway Dike Project (~US$2.5 billion)
